VAQ Dialysis Centre

The success of a fully-fledged non-profitable Dialysis Centre at Vazhakkad is the most significant achievement of VAQ. Our dialysis Centre has become a hub of humanity and compassion. The Centre was inaugurated by then Kerala Chief Minister Mr. Oommen Chandy in 2015.

Constructed with the help of Qatar-based emigrants, the Dialysis Centre has been operating alongside a Private Hospital in the village.  In most cases, once the patients undergo dialysis, they are supposed to continue it for the rest of their lifetime. Lifestyle changes brought in further complications for the process, making it mandatory Three times a week to Twelve times a month. The Centre consists of 10 dialysis units. So far 71 kidney patients were admitted, and a total of 23,979 dialysis has been completed till now. Currently we have 37 patients of renal failure who receive this service. But number of such patients are increasing terribly day by day. This benevolent service is made possible with the resource collection made by our supporting committee annually and the collective efforts by VAQ members.
